Job summary

Arrow Child & Family Ministries seeks a Foster Parent Recruiter and Trainer to identify and train prospective foster parents, build community partnerships, and promote retention through education and support. The role serves as a liaison between the agency and foster families and guides applicants through the certification process.

You will deliver pre-service and ongoing training, use multiple modalities, and ensure training aligns with licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field and at least 1 year experience working with families, preferably in the child welfare industry.
• Strong presentation skills are a requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-service training to prospective foster/adoptive parents ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.
• Provide orientation sessions to introduce new families to Arrow’s mission, values, and child welfare procedures.
• Develop and deliver training modules as required by state authorities or agency needs.
• Utilize in-person, virtual, and hybrid training models to meet diverse learning styles.
• Maintain training records and attendance in data systems.
• Collaborate with licensing, case management, and clinical staff to ensure content is current and family-centered.
• Stay informed of changes in child welfare laws and trauma-informed care practices.
• Represent Arrow at community events to promote foster care awareness.
• Develop partnerships with local organizations and church collaboratives to move recruitment forward.
• Coordinate with corporate marketing for advertising needs and develop recruitment/retention plans.
