Job summary

The Village Network in Columbus, OH is seeking a Licensing Specialist to support the licensing processes for foster parents, aligning with our mission and values. You will handle recertifications, home studies, and state audits, and help ensure files and documentation are in order.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field, be a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), and be proficient with Word, Excel, and E-Time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field required.
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) required.
• Experience with adoption assessor certification preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties related to recertification and halfway verifications.
• Assists with state audits to ensure advocate files are in compliance.
• Completes home studies and treatment foster care/family foster care and adoption home study assessments.
• Recruitment, screening, and interviewing of prospective foster parents.
• Manages foster parent training hours and ensures all agency requirements are met.
• Maintains foster parent files and completes documentation, logs, and paperwork.
• Answers phone queries and provides CSP services as needed.
