Job summary

FaithBridge Foster Care is hiring a Home Study Contractor to complete foster and/or adoptive home studies in Cobb and Henry Counties. This part-time 1099 role handles 0-3 cases monthly (10-30 hours) with compensation per completed home study.

You will assess families, ensure compliance with policies and licensing, and maintain organized, accurate records in the agency system while advocating for children’s best interests.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral or social sciences; relevant licenses or credentials may be required.
• Experience: minimum of 3 years in child welfare, preferably in licensing foster or adoptive families.
• Skills: strong interpersonal and written communication abilities; knowledge of GA+SCORE, IMPACT and SAFE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess and determine suitability of prospective and current foster/adoptive families through psycho-social home studies.
• Ensure compliance with program policies and state licensing/certification requirements; seek clarification when uncertain.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation in the agency case management system; complete all records timely.
• Draft and train foster/adoptive parent candidates; assist in recruitment or training when needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients and agency staff; adhere to deadlines and professional standards.
