Job summary

Extra Special Parents, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Home Study Specialist to license foster parent candidates in accordance with Virginia State Licensing Standards for licensed child-placing agencies.

This part-time, hybrid role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related Human Service field and at least 2 years of case management experience; one year of home study development experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human service field is required.
• At least 2 years of case management experience are required.
• Experience with home study development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the CRM to document calls, emails, and tasks related to potential foster families.
• Contact families within 24 hours of assignment and schedule all 3 home visits.
• Conduct thorough assessments and inspections of all potential homes.
• Communicate with Lead and Director about concerns or issues.
• Ensure safety and transportation guidelines are followed in all visits.
• Attend program and department meetings as required.
• Report ethical or legal violations to the supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
