Job summary

Focus On Youth Inc. is seeking a qualified Supervisor of Social Services to lead licensed social workers in Ohio, ensuring high-quality foster care support and compliance with state standards. The role requires a Master’s in Social Work and a valid Ohio license, plus meaningful foster care experience.

You will supervise diverse staff, guide program operations, and oversee respite and related services while maintaining thorough records and facilitating ongoing training and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and a state license to practice in Ohio.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in foster care.
• Ability to supervise social service staff and manage field operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct service social service staff, including therapists, assessors, youth specialists, interns, and case assistants.
• Lead weekly or bi-weekly meetings and delegate duties.
• Ensure service delivery aligns with mission and policies.
• Provide case consultation and in-service training.
• Oversee Bridges Program, CareSource respite, and Ohio Rise Respite programs.
• Approve and sign reports for supervisees.
• Provide crisis intervention and on-call coverage as needed.
• Maintain administrative files with session details and summaries.
• Implement agency procedures and program operations daily.
• Orient and train new staff; support licensing requirements.
