Job summary

Winnebago County Social Services is seeking a Social Work Specialist for the Placement Resource Team in Oshkosh. The role oversees licensing and placing foster parents and relatives, coordinating Family Find and Kinship Care activities, and supporting education and training for providers.

The position emphasizes collaboration with biological and foster families, court personnel, and community partners to secure safe, suitable placements and promote positive outcomes for children in substitute

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Social Work required.
• Certification/licensure under Wisconsin Statutes chapter 457 as a Social Worker or similar licensure within two years of hire.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
• Evidence of meeting automobile liability insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• License and relicense foster parents/homes and relatives; assess kinship eligibility.
• Partner with families and community providers to support foster care placements.
• Recruit foster homes via outreach and information distribution.
