Job summary

Thompson Child & Family Focus in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Licensing and Training Specialist in the Foster Care Department to recruit, train, and license foster parents. You will provide pre-service training, assess candidates, and guide them through licensing, submitting all state and agency paperwork, and maintain compliant, audit-ready files.

Typical hours are 8–5 with occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and credentialing standards as pertains to the program.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must pass drug screening and extensive background check.
• Role supports families in Winston‑Salem and Greensboro, NC area.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, Train, and license foster parents.
• Provide pre-service training for potential foster parents and assess candidates.
• Guide potential parents through licensing and submit all documentation to state and agency.
• Maintain audit-ready files and ensure ongoing licensing compliance.
• Provide quarterly supervision/assessment and collaborate with the foster care coordinator.
