Job summary

Thompson is seeking a Licensing and Training Specialist in the Foster Care Department to recruit, train, and license foster parents in North Carolina. You will provide pre-service training, assess potential foster parents, and guide them through licensing while ensuring compliance and timely documentation.

This full-time role emphasizes public speaking and marketing to recruit families, with typical hours 8–5 and occasional evenings or weekends, and a strong focus on delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Education required: Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and license foster parents.
• Provide pre-service training for potential foster parents.
• Assess and evaluate potential foster parents based on state and agency policy.
• Guide potential parents through the licensing process and submit licensing documentation to the state and agency.
• Maintain audit-ready files and ensure training remains compliant.
• Coordinate with the foster care team to support placements and provide public speaking/marketing to recruit families.
