Job summary

South Carolina DSS seeks a CWS Case Manager - Foster Care Family Licenses to ensure foster home compliance and track outcomes. You will engage in case consultations, training, and regular home visits to uphold policy, safety, and well-being of children.

You will coordinate with supervisors, county and state offices, maintain licensing data in Binti and CAPSS, and support kinship families while pursuing ongoing professional development and adherence to trauma-informed practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare or Behavioral Science with 1 year of professional Human/Social Services experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in any other field with 2 years of professional Human/Social Services experience.
• Master's Degree may substitute for all or part of the work requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accountability of licensed foster homes through case consultations, coaching, and training.
• Promote safety, permanency and well-being by policy fidelity and case reviews.
• Perform specialized case management in foster family and kinship support with quarterly home visits.
• Support FFALS recruitment and retention events; may occur after hours or weekends.
• Enter licensing data in Binti and CAPSS; upload documents for relicensing.
• Participate in supervisor and regional work-group case consultations and trainings.
• Provide responsive communication to foster families; conduct relicensing studies and assessments.
• Engage providers and partners with empathy; participate in child and family team meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect agency systems and data.
• Perform Red Cross shelter duties as directed.
• Obtain Certified Investigator certification within 6 months; complete ongoing training annually.
• Other duties as assigned.
