State of South Carolina’s Child Welfare Services in Florence County seeks a CWS Case Manager - Foster Care Family Licenses to oversee licensed foster homes, ensuring compliance and outcomes in line with DSS Policy and GPS Practice Model.

The role emphasizes safety, permanency, and well-being, including quarterly home visits, data reviews, and ongoing family support. Training, reporting, and cross‑agency collaboration are key components of the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or equivalent; 1 year in Human Services or Social Services.
• Master's Degree may substitute all or part of the work requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accountability of licensed foster homes via consultations, coaching and training.
• Promote safety, permanency and well-being through data reviews and mandatory trainings.
• Perform specialized case management for foster and kinship families with quarterly home visits.
• Enter licensing data in Binti and CAPSS and upload documents for licensure.
• Participate in case consultations with supervisors and staff; collaborate with partners.
• Provide ongoing responsive communication to foster families and conduct relicensing assessments.
• Engage providers and external partners with empathy; assist in family team meetings.
• Maintain data privacy and protect PII; be prepared for emergency duties.
• Pursue Certified Investigator certification within 6 months; 20 hours annual training thereafter.
