Job summary

South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking a CWS Case Manager to conduct statewide investigations of child abuse and neglect and to maintain thorough documentation in the CAPSS system. You will engage with licensing agencies, providers, and stakeholders to review progress and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires collaboration with counsel for appeals and court actions, and involves 24/7 on-call coverage on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science.
• Bachelor's Degree in any other field and one year of related field experience.
• Master's degree may be preferred for selected positions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct statewide investigations of child abuse and neglect.
• Document case information and findings in case files and CAPSS system.
• Coordinate with licensing agencies, providers, and stakeholders on investigations.
• Plan for appeals or court actions with Office of General Counsel.
• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage on a rotating schedule.
