Job summary

South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking a CWS Case Manager for Foster Care in Edgefield County. You will collaborate with the Child and Family Team to develop individualized, strength-based permanency plans and monitor safety and well-being.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Behavioral or Social Science, or a related field with at least one year of experience. Master’s degree and Child Welfare experience are preferred. On-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science.
• Bachelor’s Degree in any other field and one year experience in a related field.
• Selected positions may prefer a Master’s Degree. Child Welfare highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Case management in Child Welfare Foster Care; develop individualized family permanency plans with the team.
• Engage families and professionals with empathy; participate in child and family team meetings.
• Document case activities per policy; monitor safety, permanency and well-being.

Education

BSW/ Behavioral Science / Social Science degree

One year related field experience (Bachelor's in other field)

Master's degree preferred (Child Welfare highly desired)
