Job summary

Buckner Children and Family Services Community in Midland, TX seeks a DFCA Case Manager to coordinate services for foster children and families and to provide ongoing case management with required documentation and supervision.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in social work or related field, at least 2 years of experience, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and with diverse families. A valid driver’s license and bilingual English/Spanish are preferred.

Qualifications

• Meets Texas Minimum Standards for Child Placing Agencies.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work or human services required.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
• Ability to work with culturally diverse youth and families.
• Proficiency in spoken English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver's license with proof of insurance; age 21+ to drive.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide services to foster children, foster families, and foster adoptive families.
• Provide ongoing case management for clients in Buckner foster homes.
• Attend regular supervision and support with the client and foster parents during visits and calls.
• Maintain documentation for case files in compliance with licensing and Buckner policies.
• Collaborate with STAR Health and placement agencies to coordinate services.
• Prepare progress reports for placement agency caseworkers as requested.
