Job summary

Samaritas in Michigan is seeking a Foster Care Case Manager to support children and families in Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne Counties. You will manage your own caseload, collaborate with families and partners, and advocate for safe, stable placements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field, Michigan licensure preferred, and at least one year in child welfare. Valid driver's license and willingness to on-call are also expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field required.
• State of Michigan licensure preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in child welfare preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills; ability to work independently with a dynamic caseload.

Responsibilities

• Case Management & Client Support: manage caseload and provide ongoing advocacy.
• Placement Coordination & Court Involvement: coordinate placements and attend hearings.
• Documentation & Compliance: maintain accurate case records and ensure regulatory compliance.
