Wellspring Lutheran Services is seeking a Foster Care Case Aide in Traverse City, MI. This part-time role supports children and families, coordinating parenting time visits, providing transportation, and assisting with family support services to strengthen relationships.

Ideal candidates bring a positive, strength-based approach, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work well with diverse families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children and families is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
• A positive, strength-based approach to working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support parenting time visits and other important family interactions.
• Create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and valued during family visits and activities.
• Encourage positive interactions and help families build on their strengths through coaching, support, and consistent encouragement.
• Transport children and families to appointments, visits, and other activities that are important to their case plans and goals.
• Observe, document, and communicate important information that helps the foster care team provide effective support and services.
• Work directly with children and families from diverse backgrounds, helping create positive experiences that contribute to long-term success.
