Wellspring Lutheran Services in Michigan is seeking a Foster Care Case Manager to support safe, stable, permanent futures for children in foster care. You’ll partner with foster and birth families, schools, courts, and community providers to ensure every child receives advocacy, resources, and consistent guidance.

This role emphasizes collaboration, trauma‑informed practice, and reunification when possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related human services field
• Experience with children and families preferred
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
• Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to engage families experiencing crisis with compassion and professionalism
• Knowledge of community resources and family support services preferred
• Commitment to child-centered, family-focused practice

Responsabilités

• Advocate for safety, stability, and permanency for children
• Develop individualized safety, well-being, and permanency plans
• Coordinate services with foster families, birth families, schools, courts, therapists, and community partners
• Encourage family engagement and access to resources for long-term success
• Advocate for educational, medical, emotional, and social needs of children
• Support visits, court hearings, and service coordination to progress toward reunification when possible
