Job summary

Wellspring Lutheran Services in Michigan is seeking a Foster Care Case Manager to serve Kent, Muskegon, Kalamazoo counties and surrounding West Michigan communities. You will guide children and families through safety and permanence, visiting homes, coordinating with schools and service providers, and advocating for each child’s voice.

Join a dedicated team with strong onboarding and ongoing support as you transition to serving families across multiple counties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related human services field.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Empathy, accountability and professional ethics.
• Ability to balance independence with teamwork.
• Clear communication and thoughtful problem-solving skills.
• Experience in foster care or child welfare is helpful — but your passion for the mission matters most

Responsibilities

• Develop thoughtful, individualized plans for children and families.
• Stay connected with monthly home visits and consistent communication.
• Help families access healthcare and community supports.
• Coordinate with schools, foster parents, birth families and service providers.
• Advocate for each child’s well-being by preparing for hearings and giving them a voice.
• Maintain clear, accurate records to inform decisions.
