Job summary

Children and Families First Delaware Inc. is seeking a dedicated professional to provide assessment, planning, counseling, and advocacy for birth families, resource parents, and children involved in Foster Care and Adoption.

This role involves court testimony and documentation, with regular supervision and collaboration across the agency and community. Based in Dover with state-wide travel, the position offers full-time hours and benefits, including health and vision insurance, retirement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related degree is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, planning, counseling/therapy, referrals, advocacy and other services to birth families, resource parents and children/youth in Foster Care and Adoption case work.
• Prepare and maintain timely documentation and records.
• Testify at court hearings and prepare court reports.
• Participate in supervision and clinical consultation.
• Establish collaborative relationships with agency and community.
• Plan and present educational programs for foster care/adoption families.
