Delaware County Children & Youth is seeking a County Caseworker 1 to assess family needs, coordinate services and support children and caregivers in community and home settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience/education requirements include a bachelor’s degree with 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology or related social sciences, or an equivalent combination.
• Two years of experience as County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college coursework in related social sciences; or
• Graduation within two months of completing qualifying degree/credits may meet educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to understand family needs; complete evaluations and investigations.
• Manage cases and coordinate services with families; maintain steady communication.
• Support families with home routines, budgeting, and child care guidance.
• Coordinate services by connecting families with community resources.
• Document findings and maintain accurate records to support planning.
