Job summary

The role focuses on moving children through the permanency process, recruiting adoptive homes for special needs children, and supporting families through court and post-placement services. The ideal candidate holds a BSW or related degree, has experience with families in social services, a valid driver's license, and strong writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work or related field required.
• Experience working with families in social services context.
• Valid driver’s license with properly registered and insured vehicle.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the movement of children through the permanency process.
• Facilitate child placements and avoid placement disruptions; provide crisis management and supportive counseling to resource parents.
• Recruit adoptive homes for special needs children.
• Conduct adoptive home studies and prepare Family and Child Profiles.
• Attend court for all adoption and finalization hearings, provide post-adoption referrals and provide post-placement and post-legalization services to adoptive families.
