Job summary

Jobot is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to develop and deploy bespoke software solutions and data workflows for fast-moving hardware-testing customers. You will collaborate with Sales and Operations, support pre-sales discussions, and shape the product with direct customer feedback.

The role emphasizes autonomy, strong problem-solving, and a user-first mindset, with travel to customer sites and a focus on building backend systems using Java in a cutting-edge hardware domain.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software development with a high degree of autonomy.
• Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
• A user-first perspective with the ability to apply software to real-world, high-impact engineering challenges.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to engage with customers at technical sites.
• Experience building backend systems using Java or other backend languages and frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy tailored software solutions, tools, and integrations.
• Design and maintain data workflows connecting client data systems with internal platforms.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to support technical evaluations and define project scope.
• Relay technical feedback and user insights to influence product direction.
• Contribute to team growth by assisting in recruitment and onboarding of new engineers.
