Jobot is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer in San Francisco to work directly with the founding team and major customers. You will understand complex problems, craft technical solutions, and rapidly improve the product in a lean startup environment.

The role requires hands-on coding in Python, TypeScript, Node, and React, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. On-site, full-time with equity and top compensation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering or forward deployed engineering experience.
• Hands-on coding in modern stacks (Python, TypeScript, Node, React).
• Experience working directly with customers or external stakeholders.
• Ability to operate with ambiguity and deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to identify technical and product pain points.
• Translate customer problems into concrete technical solutions.
• Write production code and ship improvements to the product.
• Lead deployments with key customers and build scalable tooling.
• Bridge between customers and Product/Engineering.
