Job summary

Zip is the AI platform for enterprise procurement, built for humans and agents working together. You will join Zip's Forward Deployed Software Engineering team as a software engineer on high-impact product work, writing and shipping production code, and engaging directly with our most critical customers.

You'll own engineering on deals that matter, collaborating with Field PMs and Solutions Consultants to ensure on-time delivery and enterprise-grade execution at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering or a similar field.
• read and write code across the stack: Python on the backend and React/TypeScript on the frontend at Zip.
• Strong product instincts and judgment.
• Customer empathy and crisp communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering on critical customer projects, owning scope, sequencing, and delivery with the Field PM and Solutions Consultants.
• Ship high-impact features that advance strategic deals and renewals, including enterprise-grade capabilities (APIs, exports, notifications).
• Bring strong product sense to decisions by partnering with core product teams.
• Shape Zip's long-term platform and roadmap, focusing on customer-first patterns.
• Communicate directly with customers on calls with procurement, finance, and IT, translating trade-offs for engineers and executives.
