Job summary

Zip is hiring a Senior Software Engineer on the Developer Platform team in San Francisco, CA. You will design scalable architectures and tooling that empower Zip’s engineers to ship enterprise-grade software quickly and reliably.

You will mentor peers, lead architectural guidance, and push canaries, traffic replay, and robust deployment practices to enable daily releases for enterprise customers. This role emphasizes ownership and practical problem solving.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• BS or higher in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience with CI tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Buildkite, Jenkins, and Docker.
• Attention to detail with a strong ownership mindset.
• Ability to diagnose obstacles, debug friction, and drive velocity.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to ensure new features are performant and reliable.
• Architect and ship scalable frameworks and tooling to accelerate development.
• Drive adoption of AI-driven tools and codemods to improve velocity.
