Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a technically strong Security Governance professional to bridge Security & Compliance requirements with Engineering implementation.

You will partner closely with Engineering, Legal, Product Security, and Risk to translate insights into practical, scalable governance requirements. The successful candidate will understand systems end-to-end, evaluate control design, and help price risk during M&A.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in security engineering, cloud security, product security, IAM, platform engineering or IT governance.
• Strong understanding of security controls and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC, SOX, FedRAMP or similar.
• Familiarity with emerging technology and regulatory areas such as AI security, AI governance, privacy and global tech regulations.
• Ability to translate security, risk, regulatory or compliance requirements into technical implementation requirements.
• Experience working with Engineering, Legal, Compliance and Risk stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support Assurance and Engineering alignment, ensuring governance requirements are clearly understood and actionable.
• Evaluate how security and compliance controls are implemented within applications, platforms, infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Create an engineering feedback loop to improve control design, standards and governance processes.
• Translate regulatory, compliance and security expectations into clear technical requirements for Engineering.
• Develop second-line oversight to monitor and attest control effectiveness across engineering teams.
• Understand systems end-to-end to help Assurance make risk-based decisions.
• Collaborate on emerging security requirements and translate them into future controls.
• Track regulatory directions and implications for the organization, including AI governance.
• Support enablement, change management, and documentation to help engineering comply with policies.
