Job summary

Portworx by Everpure seeks a Kubernetes expert to lead pre-sales engagements, helping customers deploy stateful apps in containers across multi-cloud and on‑prem environments.

The architect will drive Day 2 data management workflows, demonstrate thought leadership, and guide customers toward Everpure technologies with a focus on the big picture and outcomes. Willingness to travel up to 60% is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a customer facing senior-level technical architect.
• Charismatic, confident, and likable self-starter with a track record of success on stage, in the spotlight, and with customers.
• Team oriented leader able to coach and drive behavior through influence.
• 5+ years of Linux Administration and/or Linux development experience with an industry recognized certification.
• 3+ years of Kubernetes Administration experience and a KCNA or above certification.
• Certification-level fluency in OpenShift, Rancher, or other Kubernetes orchestration environment.
• Certification-level fluency in Cloud IaaS environments such as VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP and OpenStack.
• Certification-level fluency with DevOps concepts and hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD pipeline applications.
• Certification-level fluency in data engineering, big data, and database operations, delivery and operational services.
• Demonstrable understanding of data platform technologies for on-prem, hybrid, and cloud deployments.
• Understanding enterprise app development lifecycle and container platforms’ impact.
• Ability to distill complex problems into a simplified vision driving customer interest.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales deep technical and business expertise to customers wanting to run stateful applications in containers and automate Day 2 data management workflows.
• Serve as the vanguard of the “Kubernetes Everywhere” movement and influence customer outcomes with Everpure technologies.
