Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for the Identity Platform to lead technical engagements in client environments. You will read, review, and make design calls based on real system behavior, not decks, and you will not be writing code day to day in many engagements.

You'll work with enterprise clients, set direction, and determine build-versus-buy decisions while growing the engineers around you. Travel may be required, up to 100% in some cases.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of professional software experience.
• Proficient in at least one of Python, Go, Rust, TS, Java, or C+.
• Experience designing and building distributed systems in production.
• Hands-on leadership of small teams and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design for engagements and defend decisions.
• Review implementations and prototype when needed.
• Set technical direction and review engineers' code.
• Reverse‑engineer identity behaviors in client environments.
• Document build-versus-buy decisions for project continuity.
• Prototype against emerging standards and vendor betas.
• Create reference implementations and technical content.
• Grow engineers by working alongside them.
