Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead complex identity platform engagements in client environments. You will read, review, and make design calls that matter, often choosing between build and buy options while staying technically deep and relentlessly practical.

You’ll work with Fortune 100 clients to shape the agentic identity stack, define reference architectures, and mentor engineers, all while balancing architecture with delivery commitments in fast-moving projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience building and shipping production software.
• Hands-on technical work within the last 24 months.
• Minimum of 4 years in at least one language (Python, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Java, or C++)
• Minimum of 4 years designing and building concurrent or distributed systems.
• Minimum of 3 years deploying and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Minimum of 2 years leading at least 2 engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design for engagements and defend decisions.
• Review implementations and prototype in the identity stack.
• Set technical direction and review engineers' code.
• Reverse-engineer client identity environments and design targets.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions with durable documentation.
• Prototype against emerging standards and vendor betas.
• Create reference implementations and technical content.
• Grow engineers by hands-on mentorship.
