Job summary

Accenture Security seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead technical design and drive architecture across engagements. You will review architectures, prototype in the identity stack, and make critical build-versus-buy decisions in collaboration with client teams.

You will operate in a deep technical role that emphasizes design over daily coding, with travel expectations and the opportunity to mentor engineers while delivering innovative identity solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience building and shipping production software.
• 4+ years of web development in at least one of Python, Go, Rust, TS, Java, or C++.
• 4+ years designing and building concurrent or distributed systems.
• 3+ years deploying cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 2+ years of technical leadership of at least 2 engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design for engagements, including decisions you'll be held to when they're wrong.
• Review implementation critically and prototype in the identity stack when needed.
• Set the technical direction for engineers on the engagement and review their code.
• Reverse-engineer how identity works in client environments and design the solution.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions and document the rationale for future reference.
• Prototype against emerging standards and vendor betas, often before documentation exists.
• Build reference implementations and technical content that define the practice.
• Grow engineers around you by working alongside them.
