Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer in Identity and Access Management to lead technical design engagements, review implementations, and shape the security architecture in client environments. The role emphasizes deep engineering depth, distributed systems experience, and collaboration with client engineers to drive build-versus-buy decisions and prototype future standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience building and shipping production software.
• Hands-on technical work in last 24 months including prototyping and design reviews.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional development in at least one of Python, Go, Rust, TS, Java, or C+.
• Minimum of 4 years designing and building concurrent or distributed systems.
• Minimum of 3 years deploying and operating cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including containers and CI/CD pipelines.
• Minimum of 2 years of technical leadership of at least 2 engineers.
• Experience in identity and access management, IAM, secrets management, or non-human identity.
• Ability to explain hard technical ideas to a CISO and hold a design review with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design for an engagement and be accountable for decisions.
• Review implementation critically and prototype when needed.
• Set the technical direction for engineers on the engagement and review code.
• Reverse-engineer identity concepts in client environments and design improvements.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions and document rationale for the project exit.
• Prototype against emerging standards and vendor betas.
• Create reference implementations and technical content for the practice.
• Grow engineers by hands-on collaboration.
