This role blends network engineering, software workflows, and solution architecture to convert complex requirements into scalable deployments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a technical, client-facing role, strong OSS/BSS familiarity, and proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript workflows.

Qualifications

This is a great opportunity for a Forward Deployed Engineer to help telecommunications providers design, implement, and optimise modern network solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with customers and internal teams in a customer-facing technical role, combining telecom network engineering, software workflows, and solution architecture to turn complex network requirements into scalable, practical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• High-impact technical work: Solve complex telecom challenges and help shape how service providers manage and automate their networks.
• Cross-functional exposure: Work directly with customers while collaborating with Sales, Product, and Software Engineering teams.
• Autonomy and innovation: Take ownership of technical solution design and contribute to the development of scalable network automation capabilities.
• Assess customer network environments, infrastructure, and operational workflows.
• Analyze network architecture across CPE, access, transport, core, and OSS/BSS systems.
• Document network topologies, integration requirements, dependencies, and technical constraints.
• Translate customer requirements into tailored technical solutions and implementation plans.
• Support technical discovery, solution design, and qualification alongside Sales teams.
• Develop and configure workflows using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Provide technical guidance throughout customer onboarding and implementation.
• Define network provisioning and automation requirements for software engineering teams.
• Establish repeatable processes for technical discovery, scoping, and solution delivery.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to communicate customer needs and improve platform capabilities.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with customer objectives.

Skills/Must have:

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, solutions architecture, sales engineering, or a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications networks and service provider infrastructure.
• Experience with network architecture, provisioning, integrations, and operational workflows.
• Ability to understand and develop workflows using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with OSS/BSS systems and telecom network environments.
• Strong technical documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable managing responsibilities independently.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience and relevant certifications.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the United States for customer engagements and implementation milestones.

Salary:
