Job summary

11x is seeking a Voice Agent Engineer to bridge GTM AI agents and real customer outcomes. Location is flexible with in-office in San Francisco and remote across the U.S. and Canada.

You will design, build, and iterate on fullstack systems powering AI agents, research orchestration and model alignment, and collaborate with product, design, and GTM teams to improve UX for non-technical users. Base salary range is $180,000–$200,000 USD.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a product-oriented software engineering role.
• CS/Engineering degree; startup/consulting or customer-facing experience a plus.
• Strong fundamentals in Typescript, React, NextJS, and NodeJS.
• Familiarity with APIs, data flows, and debugging live systems.
• Interest in AI/ML, conversational AI, or voice tech.
• Bias for action; shipping quickly and improving in live deployments.

About the Role

As a Voice Agent Engineer, you’ll be the connective tissue between our GTM AI agents and real-world customer outcomes. AI is redefining the way people sell - and the Voice team is on the front lines of making that happen.

Location is flexible—we’re hiring in San Francisco (in-office) and remotely throughout the U.S. and Canada.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and iterate on fullstack systems that power AI agents from concept to deployment
• Research and evaluate new approaches to agent orchestration, prompting strategies, and model alignment
• Collaborate with product, design, and GTM teams to improve UX and usability for non-technical users
• Share learnings, document findings, and contribute to the evolution of internal best practices
• Participate in peer reviews, brainstorming sessions, and technical deep dives with our global team

Ideal Candidates Have

• 3+ years of experience in a product-oriented software engineering role
• A CS/Engineering degree & professional experience; bonus if you’ve worked in a startup, consulting, or customer-facing technical role before
• Strong programming fundamentals in Typescript, React, NextJS, and NodeJS
• Familiarity with APIs, data flows, and debugging live systems
• Interest in AI/ML, conversational AI, or voice technologies
• Responsive and proactive in addressing customer needs with bias for action - comfortable shipping quickly and improving continuously in live deployments

US Base salary range: $180,000 – $200,000 USD
