Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with national-security customers, deploying our AI-powered platform into their environments, even air-gapped ones. You will be a generalist, shipping application code, debugging Kubernetes workloads, designing data schemas, and prototyping capabilities based on real customer problems.

You will sit with mission users, translate needs into working software, and contribute across data pipelines, integrations, and prototypes to prove

Qualifications

• Strong programming ability in Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript with fluency in AI tooling.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience including deployment and debugging of real workloads.
• Production AWS experience — building environments, not just consuming them.
• Relational database experience with PostgreSQL or similar; schema design and tuning.
• Experience delivering outside primary specialty or learning new tech when needed.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, integrate and operate TRM's platform inside customer environments, cloud and air-gapped.
• Sit with mission users, translate needs into working software and build integrations, data pipelines, prototypes.
• Deliver across application code, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and data flows.
• Act as a bridge back to product and engineering, carrying mission context into the roadmap.
• Diagnose and resolve hard problems in constrained environments with limited tooling.
