Job summary

Unit21 is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead customer implementations end-to-end, integrating client data into the platform and building detection strategies. You will configure Case Management, deploy AI agents, and provide ongoing tuning and enablement for post-go-live success.

You’ll work with product and engineering to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, handling real-world data and complex workflows in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Implementation, Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Solutions Architecture in technical SaaS or data platforms.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, ETL/data pipelines, SQL and relational databases.
• Ability to map and reconcile imperfect customer data into working technical solutions.
• Translate ambiguous business/compliance requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Ownership of complex technical problems from start to finish with adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer implementations end-to-end including discovery, integration, build and go-live.
• Design and build data integrations using real-time APIs and batch ingestion with ETL workflows.
• Build and tune fraud/AML detection by translating requirements into rules and typologies.
• Configure Case Management and investigation workflows, including SAR/CTR and sanctions checks.
• Deploy AI agents and roll them out with a human-in-the-loop approach.
• Own post-implementation success through tuning, issue resolution, and enablement.
• Develop scripts, automations, templates, and reusable tooling for deployments.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to feed field insights into product improvements.
