Job summary

Sapient Search Group is partnering with a fast-growing healthcare AI startup to hire a Forward Deployed Engineer. You will work directly with hospitals to understand operational challenges, translate them into technical solutions, and deploy those solutions into production.

You will build and configure solutions using Python, SQL, APIs, and the company’s AI platform; own implementations from discovery to go-live; collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Customer Success, with

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Implementation Engineering, Software Engineering, Customer Engineering, or similar.
• Strong hands-on Python experience.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience building and working with APIs and system integrations.
• Experience building or deploying AI applications, AI agents, or agentic workflows.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers.
• Ability to turn ambiguous customer problems into working technical solutions.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable owning projects from discovery through production deployment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites.

Responsibilities

Location: Remote, US East Coast

Compensation: $180,000 to $200,000 base plus equity and benefits

We are partnering with a fast growing healthcare AI startup building technology that helps hospitals improve scheduling, resource allocation, and complex operational workflows.

The team is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who enjoys solving complex real world problems directly alongside customers. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, AI, data, product, and customer delivery.

You will work directly with healthcare organizations to understand operational challenges, translate those needs into technical solutions, and then help build, configure, integrate, and deploy those solutions into production.

What we are looking for
