Job summary

Nielsen’s Gracenote division seeks a highly technical Forward Deployed Engineer to lead technical pre-sales and implementation for our API and AI products, focusing on creating agents that solve customer problems with the Gracenote MCP Server suite.

You will bridge customers and product/engineering teams, enabling B2B clients to integrate authoritative metadata into LLM-powered discovery experiences and highlight AI-first value. Travel up to 40% for workshops and on-site support.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Python or TypeScript/Node.js to support PoCs and integration with B2B enterprise APIs.
• Experience connecting MCP clients and servers to managed enterprise foundation models via AWS Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, etc.
• Familiarity with large-scale structured datasets, content discovery architectures, and search & recommendations engine mechanics.
• Consultative leadership to guide discovery, PoCs, and technical strategy to audiences from C-suite to engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Technical Pre-Sales & Consultation: Partner with Sales to demonstrate AI value and run discovery sessions; own engagement and adoption through contract signature.
• Develop Agentic Solutions: Design and maintain a portfolio of AI agents that demonstrate MCP Server capabilities and entertainment workflows.
• Deploy on Frameworks: Deploy agents on Google/AWS/LangChain/LlamaIndex framework environments to prove efficacy.
• Solution Architecture: Analyze customer environments and map Gracenote tools to AI-based workflows; act as Customer Zero for MCP tooling.
• Implementation Excellence: Guide developers through integration, provide code guidance, and document use cases with JSON-RPC 2.0 standards.
• Product Advocacy: Translate customer requirements into product inquiries and documentation.
• Strategic Engagement: Establish SLAs and best practices for global accounts.
• Technical Mastery: Master MCP tools, LLM tool usage, and AWS/GCP/Azure ecosystems.
• Agentic AI & Orchestration: Design/deploy multi-step agents and manage tool chaining and prompts.
• Travel: Up to 40% to customer sites globally.
