Baker Tilly is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join the AI Product Group's Agent Factory, responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered applications and intelligent agentic workflows across Tax, Assurance, and Advisory. This hands-on, full-stack role focuses on production-ready AI solutions combining advanced AI with intuitive user experiences and practical business workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience delivering multiple production-quality apps.
• Experience deploying at least one LLM-powered feature or application to real users.

Responsibilities

• Design and Develop AI-Powered Solutions: Build and maintain AI agents and multi-step workflows, including memory management and tool integration.
• Deliver Full-Stack Applications: Create production-quality backends, APIs, data models, dashboards, and user workflows.
• Translate Business Needs into Technical Solutions: Work with Tax, Assurance, and Advisory professionals to automate processes.
• Drive Evaluation-Based Development: Define hypotheses, criteria, and baselines for AI capabilities.
• Develop Testing and Quality Standards: Build automated tests and datasets with SMEs for reliability.
• Own End-to-End Product Delivery: Manage from development to deployment and ongoing improvements.
• Integrate Enterprise Systems and Data: Connect AI apps with enterprise systems and data contracts.
• Build Reusable Engineering Components: Create patterns and docs for scalable development.
• Support Knowledge Transfer and Technical Ownership: Collaborate with external partners and ensure maintainable code.
• Collaborate Across Global Engineering Teams: Align with U.S. and India teams on standards.
• Drive Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Use feedback and metrics to refine solutions.
• Support Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to special projects advancing AI capabilities.
