Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking an Audit Staff to support a variety of audit engagements under supervision. You will communicate with project in-charges and clients, develop technical accounting skills, prepare financial statements, and organize workpapers.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in accounting or related field, with a Masters/CPA eligibility preferred, plus proficiency with spreadsheets and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Masters preferred CPA or eligibility to work toward CPA license.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel.
• Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime during certain cycles.

Responsibilities

• Work on a wide variety of audit engagements under supervision.
• Communicate with project in-charges and clients.
• Develop technical accounting skills while performing audits of financial statements.
• Prepare audit checklists and adjust journal entries.
• Gain business writing experience while preparing financial statements with clients.
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files.
• Perform other essential duties as needed.
