Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking an Audit Staff in Dallas to work on a wide variety of audit engagements under supervision. You will engage clients from diverse industries, communicate with project in-charges and prepare financial statements and workpapers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• Masters preferred CPA certification or eligibility to pursue CPA license.
• Cumulative GPA 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel.
• Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime during certain business cycles.

Responsibilities

• Engage and serve clients from various industries.
• Communicate with project in-charges and clients.
• Develop technical accounting skills while performing audits of financial statements.
• Prepare audit checklists and adjust journal entries.
• Gain business writing experience while preparing financial statements alongside clients.
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files.
• Perform other essential duties as needed.
