Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking an Audit Staff to work on a variety of audit engagements under supervision. You will engage clients across industries, communicate with project leads, and develop accounting skills while auditing financial statements.

The role emphasizes preparing workpapers, journal entries, and client-ready deliverables, with opportunities to pursue CPA licensure and career growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred; CPA certified or eligibility to pursue CPA.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to travel to client sites, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel.
• Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Engage and serve clients from various industries.
• Communicate with project in-charges and clients.
• Develop technical accounting skills while performing audits of financial statements.
• Prepare audit checklists and adjust journal entries.
• Gain business writing experience while preparing financial statements alongside clients.
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files.
• Perform other essential duties as needed.
