Job summary

Cherry Bekaert is seeking an Audit Staff to work on a wide variety of audit engagements under the supervision of different accounting professionals. You will engage and serve clients from various industries, communicate with project in-charges and clients, and develop accounting skills while performing audits of financial statements.

Some travel to client sites is required, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town trips.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred; CPA eligible.
• GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed.
• Overtime required during busy cycles.

Responsibilities

• Engage and serve clients from various industries.
• Communicate with project in-charges and clients.
• Develop accounting skills while auditing financial statements.
• Prepare audit checklists and adjust journal entries.
• Prepare financial statements with clients.
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files.
• Perform other essential duties as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

Master’s degree preferred; CPA eligible

GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher preferred

Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software

Ability to travel to client sites as needed
