Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in transportation or motor pool operations.
  • CDL Class A/B with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to interface with contractor/military personnel and customers professionally.
  • Working knowledge of Army transportation regulations and safety programs.
  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
  • Ability to obtain a favorable TIER-1 investigation and a CAC.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operation of bus transportation, including routes, scheduling, and special trip planning.
  • Oversee safe day-to-day operations of the TMP at Fort Sill and within AR 5-9 AOR.
  • Ensure scheduling, dispatching, vehicle maintenance, and passenger movement meet safety and contract requirements.
  • Recruit, train, evaluate, and supervise bus drivers, substitute drivers, and aides.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle and driver qualification records and report TMP activities.
  • Coordinate with Government and TMP customers to ensure on-time mission completion.
  • Conduct driver check rides and post-accident road tests to verify competency.
  • Inspect TMP vehicles, loading points, and drop-off locations for safety and cleanliness.
  • Investigate accidents within 30 minutes with scene documentation and post-accident procedures.
  • Direct vehicle operations to meet mission requirements and efficiency.
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings and submit reports as required.
  • Maintain daily/weekly reimbursable spreadsheets.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance, inspections, work orders, and parts requisitions for TMP readiness.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance, inspections, repairs, and fueling operations; coordinate with maintenance staff.
  • First-shift Monday-Friday; occasional after-hours or weekend support for training missions.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support TMP operations and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to all laws and policies related to school bus construction, maintenance, and pupil transport
  • Prepare and maintain transportation logs; submit contracts, bids, and DRTRS data.
  • Develop and manage transportation budgets; assist in bid preparation and cost containment.
  • Liaise with principals, teachers, parents, law enforcement, and highway department on route issues.
  • Plan in-service training, driver orientations, and safety procedures.
  • Respond to accidents, breakdowns, and weather-related route changes; report safety issues.
  • Validate bus fleets maintenance faults for service requests.
  • Validate dispatch scheduling for mission operations.
  • Ensure dispatchers only dispatch FMC buses.
