Job summary

Digital Consultants seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to support US Army North at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX. You will lead Tier 1/2 help desk operations for ~900 users and manage diverse IT systems, networks, and security measures.

You will configure Windows and server environments, coordinate with vendors, monitor SIEM events, and mentor junior staff while ensuring high availability and robust cyber defense.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years experience as a Systems Administrator.
• Detailed understanding of SIEM software and incident response.
• Experience with Microsoft OS, Office, SharePoint, .NET and SQL Server.
• VMware/ESX, Active Directory, and Cisco networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor complex control facility hardware/software, on-premises or cloud-based.
• Coordinate with vendors and IT staff to resolve outages and restore performance.
• Compile records/reports on network operations and perform capacity planning.
• Manage LAN/MAN/WAN and support large-scale projects.
• Configure system hardware/software, including cloud components (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).
• Support IT operations, security policy, and cloud operations.
