Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems (JCFS) seeks an HVAC Journeyman Mechanic to support the Fort Devens, MA base. You will maintain and service HVAC mechanical and control systems across multiple buildings on site.

The role demands 5+ years of HVAC experience, a valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain DoD clearance with a preference for security clearance. Union benefits apply; day shifts and no travel required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting and service experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good verbal/written communication.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance; DoD Secret/Top Secret preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, service, diagnosis, repair and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot HVAC mechanical issues and resolve problems.
• Respond to service and warranty calls.
• Inspect and service mechanical systems with appropriate tools.
• Conduct preventive maintenance like belt adjustments and lubrication.
• Collect samples for analysis as required.
