Job summary

Paycom in Rockville, MD is seeking a Formulations Technician I to support formulation and testing activities in a fast-paced lab. You will receive, formulate, and dispense test compounds, vehicles, and reagents, and record data in the LIMS while following study protocols.

The role requires a BS in chemistry/pharmacology or related field and up to 1 year of related CRO/hospital experience. Weekend/holiday shifts rotate with the team.

Qualifications

• BS degree in chemistry, pharmacology, or related field.
• 1 year of related experience in a Contract Research Organization, hospital, compounding pharmacy or similar research setting.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIMS).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform routine lab duties.

Responsibilities

• Receive, distribute, and disposition test compounds, vehicles, and reagents.
• Formulate test compounds, vehicles, and reagents.
• Record study data in the laboratory information management system (LIMS).
• Read, understand, and adhere to study protocols.
• Perform general study prep and organization (labeling, stocking, lab setup).
• Work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
