Job summary

Thyssenkrupp in Washington, DC is seeking a forklift operator to move raw materials, finished goods, and equipment on the warehouse floor. You will operate a forklift, assist with loading/unloading, and help maintain safety and organization on the shift.

This role requires basic math, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and prior forklift experience. The position is safety-sensitive and follows Thiessenkrupp safety protocols and ISO 6S standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, must read and write French).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Previous forklift experience
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions
• Safety Mindset

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment using a forklift on the warehouse floor.
• Select and package products for customer orders and verify accuracy.
• Load and unload trucks and ensure correct items are moved.
• Perform cycle counts and inspect forklift at shift start.
• Follow health, safety, ISO and 6S requirements and assist with other duties as needed.
