Job summary

U-Haul in Norfolk, VA is seeking friendly, energetic Warehouse Workers to ensure customers' needs are met with courteous service. The role involves operating a forklift, loading and unloading storage containers, and assisting customers through online systems.

Responsibilities include helping customers, performing inspections of U-Box containers, preparing documentation, and maintaining a clean, secure storage facility.

Qualifications

• Friendly, energetic and motivated individuals who enjoy interacting with customers.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Adhere to all local and federal vehicular regulations while driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility.
• Provide customer assistance, including the sale of support items and use of online dispatch and rental systems.
• Perform customer-ready inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.
• Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods.
• Ensure that the warehouse storage facility is clean, dry and secure.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
