Job summary

Fraza & Vitan Equipment is seeking a skilled Forklift Technician to troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty material handling equipment in the field across Michigan. This hands-on role requires diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to keep customer operations running smoothly.

You will travel to customer sites daily, perform preventative maintenance, log work details, and ensure safety and compliance. A sign-on bonus and a take-home service truck accompany a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment (electric, propane, and diesel).
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the company truck.
• Strong diagnostic instincts and a safety-first mindset on the job.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize customer downtime.
• Hit the road to various customer sites—every day brings a different machine and a new challenge.
• Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and up to standard.
• Log your service work accurately and communicate with dispatch.

This is a fast-paced, field-based position where you'll use your diagnostic expertise across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to keep our customers' operations moving.
