G&W Equipment, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Shop Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment in our service shop.

You will perform repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance to keep equipment ready for rental, used, and customer-owned needs. The role focuses on troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems, documenting repairs and parts usage, and ensuring a clean, safe work area while adhering to company safety

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment preferred.
• Experience working with multiple brands of forklifts preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair forklifts and material handling equipment in the shop
• Perform planned maintenance, rebuilds, and safety inspections
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
• Prepare rental and used equipment to company and safety standards
• Document repairs, parts usage, and labor accurately and on time
