G&W Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Shop Technician for our Atlanta, GA branch to diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment in the service shop.

You will perform planned maintenance, rebuilds, and safety inspections while supporting rental, used, and customer-owned equipment. This role emphasizes strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently in a busy shop.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment.
• Experience with multiple brands of forklifts preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair forklifts and material handling equipment in the shop.
• Perform planned maintenance, rebuilds, and safety inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Prepare rental and used equipment to company and safety standards.
• Document repairs, parts usage, and labor accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
